Personally I think this is great for people who love living in this county and want to keep being apart of it as it grows. Something like this means they can get jobs that make them able to afford to live here and it creates more revenue for the county and lessens the financial burden on property owners.
We have no idea how the information will be presented in this television interview but it is sure to focus a lot of attention on our beloved county and get the talking heads screaming insults from both sides. We offered this kid every available option other then the very one they wanted and they refused to budge. It will only get worse from here folks, regardless of your position on this we are bound to get a lot of negative attention do to it even after the case is finally over.
New voting machines, social services building expansion, lots of improvements at area schools but not the full scale 33 million dollar GHS renovation suggested but 11 million in bond/financed projects for the school.
I want to avoid weighing in on this till I have time to reflect on what others have to say about it and will watch this thread and the designated forum. I hope to get a sense that everyone's views get heard.
Why not the full money to renovate the high school to maximize its potential? It's a lot cheaper than building a second school and keeps it 5A
We need to get back to the simplistic basics and teach our next generation and every generation after that what it means to be free. Why we value freedom. The difference between the US being a republic and stop the conning of calling us a democracy. We need to teach every student all about the Constitution and what it means along with the Bill of Rights. And these ideals need to be reinforced each and every year through graduation of high school.
The collectivist concepts must be uprooted and tossed into the burning heap from which it sprang for to leave it is to throw future generations into slavery, poverty and even early death. The concepts put forth by the collectivist new world order hold down growth and prosperity and only hold those ideas and ideals for themselves. Out elected officials can not and must not allow the present corruption being thrown down on them from the Federal government and the State government to control what really needs to happen in our educational system for those orders seem to prove to be illegal and no one is willing to stand against such?
Common Core is not common but it is at the core of corrupting our youth beyond belief. No child left behind is a smear slogan corrupting our so called education and is littered with propaganda and filth. We elect our officials to stand guard against the corruption of our republic and we are left holding a bag of degraded democracy which is merely mob rule and now the only mob left is that of a government that has way overstepped it's bounds at every level in every American's life.
To overcome such corruption is to train our youth as stated in the opening of this discourse. To be future guardians of the republic that our forefathers shed so much blood to create and will to us. They must become testaments to the enduring foundations of freedom. To say no to the globalists who are only interested in stealing all the wealth of the world and hold it only for themselves.
Make no mistake about it. Education has been on a downhill slide for over 100 years in this country by design. Our government has to dumb down it's population in order to control the masses. It is well documented and a fact. Research it. You will be shocked.
When the federal government has control who the local principles are in any school., you do not have education, you have indoctrination and control. We must all stand up for our elected officials to fight for what is right. But they too must also be willing to take on that same fight or they are the enemy within selling out our future generations to slavery and failing us all.
What is the county doing to draw in businesses that bring growth and jobs into the county? All the new ones coming in are great and all but they mostly provide part time low pay jobs and the people who are more professional have to commute to the other side of the river 30 minutes to an hour or more to work. What is the county doing to entice production, manufacturing, or call center jobs, for instance, to come into the county?
I have noticed for a while that in addition to the property where the PetCo is going there is also something going on across from Home Depot. I have asked around and nobody seems to know what that is. Can someone shed some light on this?
Bay Transit has been a big help in this county, However the people in the office can be very rude to deal with and sometimes refuse to work with you. The drivers are all amazing and focused on serving the community. This system needs to be replaced by one with greater flexibility and runs on a schedule with numerous Bus Stops that runs during the evening and weekends. Gloucester is a growing community and more and more people are unable to drive. It is time to progress to a county run transportation system that creates more flexibility for people in the community and helps cut down on congestion
